Amy Prehm
Amy Prehm graduated from the painting program at the University
of Washington. She has been painting in her spare time ever
since, and recently got into monotyping.

"Wistful", monotype, 12"x12", 2005, $100
Dominic Gomez
I began my career as an illustrator and graphic designer in
San Francisco and have lived in Seattle since 2003. In 1992,
I began applying my skills as a visual artist toward a more
personal direction. Drawing upon the lush natural and cultural
environments of the San Francisco Bay Area where I was raised
and now here in the Pacific Northwest, my work examines the
interface of the inner world of people's self-perceptions
and the outer world of their actual physical and social realities
through the media of acrylic painting, drawing and monotype.
I'm currently working with Sev Shoon Arts Center in the BallardWorks
Building

For the second year in a row animals of all types, shapes
and sizes are taking up residence during the month of August!
The diverse assortment of animal inspired work by over 40
Puget Sound area artists is the latest and perhaps the greatest

Dan Carrillo
Since Dan Carrillo discovered printmaking in 2003,
he has been creating extremely intricate and intriguing mezzotints.
The subtle gradations and tones of the technique blend well
with his favorite subject matter, the human figure. ³In
my recent work, I portray the vast differences and circumstances
that exist between individuals that live in and out of the
real world.

Sara Lord Bugbee-Rush
Sara Lord Bugbee-Rush, currently a resident artist at
Sev Shoon, took up printmaking last fall after a life time
of artistic endeavor in sculpture, ceramics, oil, acrylic
and watercolor painting, cold and hot glass work and jewelry
making. "So far I am absorbed by intaglio but find block
printing and mono prints just as fascinating. The process
is a bit like a special gift, you work to open the box and
out comes a complete surprise!" This latest block print,
Lily's Release, is a loving tribute to whimsy, water and mermaids
everywhere.

SPA Salon 3 (a group show)

and mixed media by SPA Salon 3
Seattle Print Arts Salon 3 has members with diverse interests
ranging from architecture, collage, folk art, and the figure
to fabric art and graphic design. We meet monthly to support
each other's growth as artists, and to critique and discuss
each other's work.

Lorie Ransom
Having taken printmaking classes in college, Lorie renewed her interest in the print arts last year by
enrolling in Bootcamp at Sev Shoon. Through sweet and
sometimes dark imagery, her work explores the notion
of telling stories without words.

Tatyana Brown
Born and educated in St. Petersburg, Russia, Tatyana demonstrated
a keen interest and exceptional talent for artistic expression
at an early age, which led to an extensive art education at
the famed Russian and Hermitage Museums.
She later earned a Masters Degree in Architecture from the
renown University of Architecture and Engineering in St. Petersburg,
and after graduating, worked in the interior design field
for eight years while participating in numerous art shows
and competitions.
Tatyana pursues her art from a studio in West Seattle and
shows her work throughout the area.

Diane Davis
Diane studied painting and printmaking as an undergraduate
in the 1970s and continued, after being distracted for several
years by a law career and motherhood, at the UW School of
Art and later at Sev Shoon, where she rediscovered her interest
in etching and monoprint. Diane is interested in working with
layers of color and pattern to enhance mood and emotion in
an underlying image. She appreciates both the technical challenges
of etching and the flexibility and element of surprise that
monoprint offers.
