Dionne Haroutunian, "Standing Witness: Remembering Armenia" - 2001
In addition to being a beautiful country of rich and ancient history, Armenia is also the country where my father was born the year of the Genocide by the Turks (1915). I created this series in honor of family members that I - and countless others around the globe - never had a chance to meet as a result of war and genocide.

2001 Highlights
  • Baas Gallery, Seattle, solo show : "Standing Witness: Remembering Armenia"
  • Centre Arménien, Geneva, Switzerland, solo show: "Arménie: Souvenirs et Témoignages"
