| Marianne Legg
Marianne Legg has been working with color-process xerox transfer printing for almost two years. She starts with photographs, reproductions and drawings which she scans into the computer and separates into cyan, magenta, yellow and black color components, each of which is printed out in black and white. The printouts are reworked by hand and xeroxed. The xeroxes then become printing plates in a process similar to lithography. Often numerous scanned images, each composed of as many as eleven separate color layers, make up the final print.
The artist also works with traditional etching media, drawing and fiber processes.
Ms. Legg lives in Edmonds, Washington and prints at The Sev Shoon Arts Center in Ballard.
