We strongly believe that art making needs to be accessible to all people, whether their last experience was a kindergarten potato-print, a 7th grade linoleum carving or a University MFA.

Sev Shoon is a privately owned independent art studio that focuses on print arts and is run by practicing artists.

Tailored events that include renting access to the space for a variety of purposes such as:

Team building or hosting special guests: printmaking classes for your organization; you bring your members and we provide the teacher and the supplies.

Non print-related classes for your members: we simply provide the space and you bring your own teacher and supplies.

Event rental for individuals:
You could hold your next event at Sev Shoon: birthday, fundraiser, etc. With just a little magic, we are able to turn the studio into a warm and enticing environment to host your friends and colleagues.

Membership Rentals for Artists

Sev Shoon members work on an independent basis to produce their own prints. The rental program is designed for individuals who have demonstrated an appropriate level of experience in printmaking. Members are also required to use the facilities correctly, independently, safely, and with consideration for all other renters, students, and instructors.

Interested artists need to read the “Studio member conduct and space use guidelines” document and schedule an orientation through the office to assess technical ability. Orientations are usually conducted on Fridays unless special arrangements are made.

The print studio offers 24/7 access, a personal flat file drawer, a personal storage bin and the opportunity to become part of a dynamic group of printmakers.

1-2 month contract $175.00/month (+ one time $50.00 setup fee + $25.00 annual maintenance fee)
6+ month contract *$140.00/month (+ one time $40.00 setup fee + $40.00 annual maintenance fee)

Sev Shoon ARTS CENTER is not a non-profit. We call ourselves a “not for profit!” That means we are always looking for exciting and innovative ways to help keep our membership rates low for our artists. This is how you can assist us:

Volunteer a little time!

Join one of our neighborhood STREET TEAMS. We would appreciate any help in distributing our upcoming class information and schedule. Targeted locations include libraries, grocery and church bulletin boards, coffee shops, school campuses, etc.

If you have a background in marketing, we need you on our marketing committee.

Join us as a Patron and/or help with our yearly fundraiser.

Donate financial or in-kind help for specific equipment.
